Kelly O’Connor BAAID NCIDQ

Canadian Born based in Cortona Toscana Italy

With a background in Fine Arts York University Toronto Canada, focusing on painting and photography, and a Degree in Architectural Design from Ryerson University, my Art Practice reflects my experience as a designer of the built environment and as both a creative and logical thinker.

My work is a dreamy tug-of-war between raw sensuality and sacred femininity. The works are not scenes, as much as they are ideas, from my imagination — full of personal and experiential symbolism.

My hope is that the viewer feels akin to the subjects - relates to a ease and sense of female reclamation and freedom.

I work out of my studio near Cortona, Tuscany.

I have exhibited in Gubbio, Umbria, Toronto and sold works privately. I will have a solo show in May in Torino.
